This course is specifically designed for the supervisor who is required to use height safety equipment as part of their day to day operational duties but also overseeing others. This course will ensure that they understand the importance of compliance with legislation as well as utilising the safety equipment as it has been designed to be used. This training will show how the Working at Height Regulations 2005 have been put into place to protect those at height. The course is tailored to your site specific applications; we will train your supervisors in accordance with their trade and industries.
The course is comprised of theory and practical applications to show how to use height safety specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The theory part is an interactive element of the course covering everything from PPE, legislation, rescue obligations and anchorage selection. The theory is consolidated with a practical element which is tailored to your current working at height needs. Included in this is an all-important and comprehensive harness fitting session.
Aims of the Course
Competence and confidence to carry out work at height activities using the correct equipment and anchorage based on an informed selection process. To understand the duties and responsibilities of the employer/employee with regard to current regulation and hierarchy of control. To be able to carry out pre/post user checks for PPE and installed safety systems.

ID card and certificate issued on successful completion of both theory and practical assessments. Valid for 2 years after which the abridged refresher can be sat.
