Our Team

Alan Faulkner
Managing Director

Owner and founder of Beta Safety Systems in 2006, Alan has been involved in the working at height industry since 1994. Starting as an installer of safety critical anchors for Hilti in 1988 and working through many different installation projects from Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, has given him a wealth of knowledge in both installation and management operations.

Outside of work Alan is a father of 2 children, Connor and Lily and spends his spare time annoying them. He is also a ‘Peaky Blinders’ fan with a penchant for the odd dram of whiskey as well.

Monty Lewin
Operations Supervisor

Monty joined the company in December 2014,. Monty is one of operations supervisors responsible for day to day inspection and installation operations and has now been installing fall protection for over 25 years. Monty has taken control of some of the most technically challenging projects we have had and his involvement in our projects at Tottenham Hotspur and Lincolns Inn has been a credit to our company.

Outside of work Monty is married with 2 children. He has an aversion to lifts, and so, is probably the fittest member of the team. He works on that fitness with gym classes while drinking his favourite tipple of rum.

Alex Punchard
Operations Supervisor

Alex joined our company in October 15. Alex is one of our operations supervisors responsible for the day to day inspection and installation of the operations we undertake. Alex was initially involved in our industry as a rigging technician and has recently passed his Level 1 Irata qualification and is working towards a Level 2 assessment in the near future.

Outside of work, Alex is married with a young child. He is a consumate guitar player for the rock band ‘Not worth of Man’ (have a look at https://www.noworthofman.com/) and likes to take his Harley Davidson for a blast at the weekend.

Andy Unitt
Level 3 Roped Access Supervisor

Andy has been with Beta as part of our roped access and installation team since the early days of the company in 2008 helping us to carry out cleaning works at Cabot Circus when he was a young man. He is a Level 3 Irata trained roped access technician and if you want to get somewhere on a building that is outside of the realm of normal methods of access then Andy is your man. Andy has been instrumental as part of our team and was most recently involved in the project at Tottenham Hotspur where he helped and continues to help our team with roped access support during our inspection works.

Outside of work Andy has two children and currently has another on the way with his beautiful girlfriend. He is a fervent supporter of Wolverhampton Football Club and has a deep rooted ‘Black Country’ sense of humour.

Kurt Perks
Level 3 Roped Access Supervisor

Kurt has been helping us out for 2 years now. After recommendations from Andy Unitt we decided to give Kurt a try. That decision has worked out well with Kurt being an important member of our team. He has been involved in most of our inspections at THFC and it now dealing with work at Lincolns Inn. Another jack of all trades he can turn his hand to all aspects of roped access.

Chloe McCulloch
Engineering Draughtsperson

Chloe has been with the company for 4 years now supporting the managing director with CAD drawing work. Initially the primary elements of work were simply reproduction of drawings but over the years Chloe has become adept at taking design concepts from the team and turning them into something tangible and helping both the team and our clients understand our proposals. Now Chloe takes responsibility for updating all our design drawings and As Built drawings after completion of either installation or inspection works. She is not averse to working at height either and helping to undertake survey work as you can see from the photograph above.

Chloe is married and has 2 children with one currently at University. Her sense of humour and ability to unlock the complexities of what sits within the Managing Directors head should see her awarded a medal for patience and valour!

Sarah-Jane Jordan
Finance Manager

Sarah-Jane joined the company in December 2014. She manages the day to day financial management of the company, HR and oversees the office management as well for her sins! During her time with us she has been instrumental in dealing with the issues that have been created as a result of the Covid pandemic and continues to help the gradual transition back to normality after some turbulent times.

Outside of work Sarah-Jan is both a wife and a busy mother of 2 children and spends her time looking after them. She likes nothing better though than relaxing with her family either by the sea or in her favourite place, the New Forest.

Cori Deverick
Office Administrator

Cori is the youngest member of our team but the longest serving having joined the team in November 2014. She served an apprenticeship with us and recently finished both her NVQ Level 3 & 4 Business Administration qualifications. She deals with our day to day office administration and is the technical wizard who sorts out our CRM and IT issues when they arise. Cori also runs our inspection and maintenance operations as well.

Outside of work Cori has 2 young children. She is a busy mum but still manages to be a constant source of energy and happiness within the company.
