This course is specifically designed for anyone who organises, plans and manages the way in which work at height is carried out. If you write method statements and risk assessments for any Working at Height activity then this is the course you need. This course is designed to take you through all of the aspects of the Working at Height Regulations 2005 and shows you how to apply that in your day to day operational duties. What you need to do regarding rescue of a casualty in suspension and how to select the most appropriate equipment for the working at height tasks to prevent a fall in the first place.
The course is comprised of an interactive theory element to show you how to select, regulate and use height safety specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and how these apply to the current Working at Height Regulation and British Standards. The practical is tailored to your working environment and current needs for height safety activities and can be designed so it has direct relevance to your requirements.
Aims of the Course
Competence and confidence to plan, organise and manage equipment for the use of work at height in your environment. Monitor correct selection, use and fitting of PPE. To understand duties & responsibilities of the employer/employee with regard to current regulations and hierarchy of control. To carry out pre/post user checks for PPE and installed safety systems and have an understanding of inspection routines.
